Tonight the "Heat" scorched Hotlanta early, 25-10 was their largest lead, typically in the 1Q. The pre-"Heat" would have gone for the kill right there. Instead, "Hawks" finished the quarter 20-11 and trailed by six at the end. Atlanta actually led by five twice in the 2Q, the last time with only 1:21 left. The "Heat" went on a closing 9-2 run to take a 66-64 lead into halftime. This is just so atypical of Miami this year. Boredom? It looks like that. Up 25-10 in a mid-December game at home against a bad team, human beings will take a lap there. They're not playing defense tonight (Atl is shooting >50%) and that is pathognomonic of laziness. They're not shooting free throws well either, another telling sign. But the "Heat" haven't done that this year, it is antithetical to their Culture--until this homestand, that's the point.
