COVID-19 Biden+23

*Updated, or something.

I have no explanation for this. I was just perusing the Times and for some reason clicked on the coronavirus page, even though I posted the reported 14-day changes and other numbers early this morning. At post time twelve hours later this is what the 14-day changes are:

The Deaths change is drastically different from what I posted at 7:40 a.m. today. I immediately noticed the difference and thought that I had deleted and then emptied my delete box from this morning. Luckily, I did the first but not the second and still had the screenshot with the early number:
The raw numbers are just a little different but the percent changes in Cases and Hospitalizations now are the same as they were this morning. The +900 cumulative raw Deaths number now is in the opposite direction of and in no way accounts for the drastic percent difference in Deaths, -6% this morning, -19% now. (???) It is a bird pump by the Times and I don’t know which percent for Deaths is correct.

7:40 a.m.

Yep. Deaths 14-day change fell back into single digits, mid-singles.

-38% Cases
-28% Hospitalizations
-6% Deaths

There were huge “data anomalies” reported on both Feb. 11 (Thurs.) and yesterday, both due to “many deaths being added from Ohio”. I don’t think those get factored into the Change percentages. I don’t know how and when they get added to the totals.

Nope. Deaths did not increase in yesterday’s 7-day daily average. Deaths fell.
