The world may need to learn to live with the virus.
I refuse to accept this. Firstly, humankind can NOT "live with the virus," it KILLS us! Secondly, no, we are not that good, but I'll be goddamned if we are not good enough in the first quarter of the 21st century to defeat a goddamned virus. DEFEATISM!
Experts now say [the coronavirus] is changing too quickly, new more contagious variants are spreading too easily and vaccinations are happening too slowly for herd immunity to be within reach anytime soon....
That means if the virus continues to run rampant through much of the world, it is well on its way to becoming endemic, an ever-present threat.
BULLSHIT! Unacceptable. Work harder.
