Watchout for Philly. The last few nights have seen individual scoring explosions. Tonight it was MVP-in-waiting Joel who went off for 43 and added 14 rebbes. The Beard was back. James finished with 16 on 5/15 (1/5)--but added 14 assists! And Electric Maxey had 17 for the victor "Sixers."
Looking at the boxscores of both this game and the "Heat's", similar finals, right? Miami by 17, Philly by 15, but nobody for the "Heat" played more than 32' and there were only three who played over 30. A full game played to NBA statisticians is 36'. Philly had four guys play the stat-max 36 or more. What that speaks to is the "Heat's" depth. We've got a deep team of contributors and we've got some older players who need the load lift. With the roster full and back playing again that depth will serve Miami well for the remainder of the regular season and especially in the playoffs. Go "Heat"!
