Mykolaiv Holds Out!

A huge explosion on the outskirts of the southern city of Mykolaiv lit up the sky and Russian artillery fire struck residential areas as Russian troops continued their push to take the city, a vital point in their attempt to capture Ukraine’s entire Black Sea coast. But after another day of fierce fighting outside the city, the Russians were unable to force their way into it.
