War Day 13, March 8

It has been thirteen days. Ten, maybe nine, more days than the public and military experts, in Moscow, Kyiv, and Washington, predicted.

I recall reading of another war that lasted longer than expected. Women took their children out for a picnic on a bluff to get front row seats to the grand spectacle. The went back home in shock at the defeat they had witnessed. That war lasted four years, from 1862 to 1865, and is called the American Civil War.

It has been thirteen days.
