Saturday was the last full reporting day for the week so I thought we'd have a look.
Change over two weeks:
-7% Cases.
-19% Hospitalizations.
-42% Deaths.
Daily averages over one week
27,431 Cases. Down.
16,194 Hospitalizations. Down.
651 Deaths. Down.
Historically since coronavirus got a foothold here the nation's death toll bottomed out at (daily average) at 218 on July 12, 2021. At the current two-week rate of decline it will take us a little over two weeks to reach the nadir.
980,000 Americans have died of the virus all-time. At 600 deaths/day we will reach 1,000,000 total Deaths on May 5. President Biden made combating the epidemic the major promise of his campaign for president. He failed. That is fact.
