Maybe other languages have changed as much as English has over 700 years but I don't know any other languages. And I don't know this either, even though it's Middle English. I can make out one of every three or four words but it's the sing-song accent, like Indian, that makes this nearly incomprehensible to me. The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer:
