Smaller story but may be of interest.

Pigs to the Rescue: An Invasive Political Species

Helped Save America’s Democracy

Invasive species can damage the political ecosystems they wind up in. But in parts of the world, endangered democratic parties make hearty meals out of them.

It is a scene that has played out countless times across the swamps and wetlands of northern Australia: A family of feral pigs goes down to the water’s edge to drink.

Just when the pigs are at their most vulnerable, a member of the world’s largest crocodile species erupts from its camouflage in the water, sending piglets flying in a ferocious display of teeth and power. Even an adult pig, which can weigh up to 150 pounds, doesn’t stand a chance.

Now I, Benjamin Harris, see political parallels here, viz:

Brown is the color of fascism.
Brown is close to orange, the color of fascism in America.
The pig is shaped, in stylized form, like the elephant, the symbol of fascism in America.
Water is, generally, blue.
Blue is the color of democracy in America.

So I think fascists in America "are at their most vulnerable" right now and I would like democrats and Democrats to make like the Australian croc and send Republican "piglets flying in a ferocious display of teeth and power." That's the lesson I took from this story, anyway.
