Me: I brushed off your fright attack last night bc they’re not capable of a violent coup d’etat. They may kill people but terrorism cannot kill democracy, certainly not terrorism by old, fat “Yee-hawdists.” It’s Germany 1939 that to me is the threat. I spent three days in bed after the Catastrophe. There are 70,000,000 people who voted for Trumpie in 2020!

Me: Definitely rude. But am I supposed to be afraid for democracy of a woman who leaves a VOICEMAIL on Judge Chutkan’s chambers phone saying, 

“Hey, you stupid slave nigger, if Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you, so tread lightly, bitch. You are in our sights, we want to kill you. You will be targeted personally, publicly, your family, all of it.” 

And,

made “a direct threat to kill Congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee, all democrats in Washington D.C. and all people in the LGBTQ community.”

Abigail Jo Shry, Alvin Texas. I’m sorry, I can’t do that. The threat is *one* more election victory (which they will not get).

Me: Of course! I’m not minimizing the hate, it’s the stupidity and impotence I’m pointing out. “Slave”—for a woman born in JAMAICA! Not “even” an American slave descendant. A VOICEMAIL. That’s gonna be hard to trace which they did which is why she’s wearing orange now. And her? Overturn an election, overthrow democracy? No, that’s a bridge too far for me.
