Hamas-Israeli War

There is a lot to be said for the effectiveness of asymmetric warfare. But this is no 9/11 terrorist strike. This is coordinated, sophisticated, planned traditional warfare using the means available. It is a war. Hamas will not destroy the Israeli state but it has struck that state harder and more threateningly than any terrorist attack, and it is continuing. It's the hardest blow to the Israeli state since the surprise Yom Kippur War of 1973.
