Oh my goodness UGA is just mauling the “Wildcats”—without any KY Jelly either! Ah cruel—31-7 just before the half.
#2 Meeshagan got off to a slow start but are now sticking the “Gophers” back in their hole 23-3, 5:50 2Q.
10-Notre Dame du lac and 25-Lew are 7-7, 5:57 2Q. I talked to my Big Brother an hour or so before this game. We both like Sam Hartman. Since I don’t see the games I rely on his insights on particulars. He told me that what he loves about Hartman is his presence snd calm in the pocket. He said re the excruciating L to Ohio that Hartman doesn’t like to move, he likes to set his feet. Etc. My Big Brother said Ohio never really got pressure on Hartman but if they had just sent someone up the middle they could have gotten to him. So I kept that in mind and watched the INT Hartman threw in this Lew game. The pressure didn’t come up the middle but from Hartman’s left. Hartman didn’t fucking move. I mean didn’t take a fucking step. What he did do is stand there with his feet planted and get rid of the ball TOO soon. The receiver hadn’t completed his route and wasn’t in position to make a catch, not even close—he wasn’t expecting the ball that soon. But Hartman was determined to throw it rather than sidestep the rusher and he put too much air under it. The receiver wasn’t ready but the Lew cornerback was and the ball sailed right to him. It was a piss poor decision by Hartman to throw it, it was a sideline play and since Hartman was determined to throw the ball he could have tossed it out if bounds. Two bad decisions, three: 1) stay in the pocket and don’t move was the fundamental problem 2) throw the ball before you or your receiver are ready 3) throw it in the field of play. Hartman will not be a productive NFL’er doing that stupid shit.
Arizona State leads Prime Time 17-14, 8’+ 3Q. “Sun Devils” are AWFUL now. This is bad boding for CU.
