The R caucus is in chaos. Just a leetle while ago several R’s told reporters Jordan was backing the resolution to empower McHenry. 

Now, after the R (THREE HOUR ) conference,

“We made the pitch to members on the resolution as a way to lower the temperature and get back to work. We decided that wasn't where we're going to go," Jordan said.

Jordan said he’s still running for Speaker and that there will be a third vote, but did not say if today or when.
