The text in this Lincoln Project email is exactly how I reacted to President Biden's Oval Address this week.

"An American President": LP thinks everything out. Biden called Ron Klain to Delaware in 2019 to tell Klain that he had to run for president because Trump, "isn't an American president." The stark truth of that hit Klain between the eyes. Biden sees truth clearly. He does not color it with gray to make it look nuanced. The speech on Ukraine that he gave in Poland at the beginning of the war; Long ago he saw Putin for the liar and thug that he is and told him so to his face; the trip to Israel; the Oval Office speech on Ukraine and Israel. Not enough people see this in Biden. Jim Clyburn and Black South Carolinians saw it in 2020. "We know Joe", Jim said in endorsing him and propelling him to the nomination and the presidency.

LP is not just anti-Trump, they are pro-America and therefore pro-Biden. He's "An American President".

to me

David,

Did you watch President Biden’s speech last night? If you didn’t, take a moment and watch it now.

He looked the American people in the eye and proved the serious leadership required of a U.S. president. It was the most important speech he’s given from the Oval Office and it was exactly the type of speech that democracies across the world needed to hear during this time of international crisis.

For four dark years, we watched Trump mock the ideals that President Biden defended last night. Now, we’re closing in on our fourth year of watching Biden’s fight to restore those values in America and across the world.

It’s a contrast that will define the 2024 election. It’s a message that every voter needs to hear.

We’re all in for Joe Biden with our latest spot called “American Leader.” It’s the next step in our campaign to re-elect President Biden and keep Trump out of the White House for good. Your support determines how many voters we can reach.

Here's LP's ad.
