Texas DE&I is firing head tackle football coach Jumbo Fisher per Pete Thamel for Espo.
“Fisher will be owed $76 million upon his firing, according to sources, which is a record amount for a buyout paid to a head coach. That number is more than double the known buyout paid to a fired college head coach.”
Professor of Pigskin Fisher has the second-largest buyout in college tackle football. PSU would be facing a lesser, but still unthinkable bill. James Franklin's buyout is fourth most expensive: $64,670,000. Franklin's contract runs through 2031.
