CFP

Oh God, I can't let this go. I read earlier today,

"The committee does use the injury factor in its decision making, and the injuries to FSU quarterbacks Jordan Travis and Tate Rodemaker matter. It must determine which aspect means more--multiple injuries to the most important players on the field or Texas' loss to Oklahoma. The latter means more in therms of overall worth."-CBS

Note that in that report the decision is between FSU and Texas, not FSU (or Texas) and Alabama.

Alabama has the best win, Texas has the second best, Alabama has the best loss, Texas the second best and FSU of course has no losses.

Who are the four best teams in the country? That is the plus ultra for the committee. I just cannot convince myself that Florida State without Jordan Travis is better than Alabama. Florida State is clearly "more deserving" than either of the other two but more deserving is not a criterion. For me it comes down to FSU or Alabama, not as in the report above, FSU or Texas. Head-to-head is a tiebreaker among teams with equivalent resumes. To me Alabama has a slightly better resume than Texas. Ergo you don't get to the tiebreaker. And since the committee "does" factor in injuries as one metric for "best four",

1-2. m or W

3-4.  Texas or Alabama

AND THAT'S FINAL!😁
