Steve Sarkisian coached under Saban, went back to Tuscaloosa and kicked Saban's ass last fall. But I'm not convinced the Bama faithful would have been 100% behind the hire. In any event Sarkisian reupped with Texas, too. Kalen DeBoer and Dan Lanning, two Starbucks Nation guys. are very well regarded. But football doesn't mean as much out there and they would never be accepted in Alabama. So it makes sense that the "Tide" are deep in contract negotiations with DeBoer.
