Did you know?

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City’s superstar was drafted 11th in 2018 by the Bobcats, who traded him down on draft night to LAC for two second round draft picks so that they could select Miles Bridges at 12th. Charlotte was the first team to make a mistake on SGA. Bridges became All-Jail with arrests on serious domestic charges on the mother of his children in front of the children in 2022. He received three years probation. Bridges was suspended 30 games by the NBA. Then in October, 2023 Bridges violated his probation when he was arrested again for another violent assault on the same woman. When he turned himself in on those new charges it was discovered that he had another open arrest warrant from a January, 2023 incident, the whatsitabout not evident. So LAC got SGA for two seconds, three arrests, three yrs probation, and a 30-game suspension. Thus Charlotte’s mistake.

So now SGA is with LAC. After one season they trade him, then 21-years old, Dinilo Gallinari, FIVE first round draft picks and two first round pick swaps to OKC for 29-year old Paul George. PG-13 is a future HOFer who was All-NBA first team in 2019 at age 29 and has been stellar for the “Clippers”. But SGA has been All-NBA first team too, in 2023 when he was 24 and averaged 31 ppg! So far this season he is averaging 31 ppg too and had 37 tonight in the dub over the "Heat".

And this trade doesn't come down to just Paul George for SGA. That is aside from Danilo Gallinari, who averaged 18.7 ppg in the one season he spent in OKC, and the five first round picks and two first round swaps they got from LAC! OKC is The Next Dynasty in good measure because of this trade. The "Clippers" are a great team but they have an age ceiling. The "Thunder" even right now have a better record than LAC, are on the cusp of greatness and they're ceiling is GSW's 73 regular season wins record and The Next Dynasty. OKC won the Paul George-SGA trade hands down. So LAC was the second team that made a mistake on SGA.
