THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU PUT THAT IN YOUR QUESTION?! Why the lame, "How do you sum this up?"
March 9:
Q: We need a big man. – Rick.
A: Yes. But no one listens to me. Thomas Bryant has had his moments this week, but the absence of Kevin Love has exposed a void in depth in the power rotation, especially when it comes to securing needed rebounds. That’s why it was somewhat confounding to spend both of the last two roster spots on guards, with the additions of both Delon Wright and Patty Mills.
March 11:
ASK IRA: Are Heat coming apart when they need to come together?
Q: This is a disturbing trend. – Dave.
A: This was in response to a post about the Heat’s late-game offensive struggles in recent games...the Heat have lost their last three by blowing double-digit leads...Jimmy Butler or bust in the playoffs is one thing, and is a proven winning formula. But there has to be more during the 82-game grind. ...Wednesday night against the visiting Nuggets could be particularly sobering.
[OH! So THAT'S the "big game" Spo was talking about. Yeah!]
Q: Absolutely disgraceful loss. – Nole.
[I love these laconic, pointed comments/questions by Ira's readers!]
A: Difficult to characterize it in any other fashion. ...The Heat have firmly put their backs to the wall. ...
Heat manage to look worse than the worst, fall 110-108 to Wizards
Then came this . . . the worst loss of the season.
So that's what you thought, too. You've been asking questions of coaches and players for 35 years. Didn't you go to law school? Whether law-trained or journalism-experienced you know that when you want direct answers you ask direct, leading questions! You know never to ask hanging curve ball, open-ended questions that give the interviewee license to ramble. You ask questions that admit of only yes and no answers, then they can explain. Answer the question first!
