Vertigo was named the second-best film of all time on a site I was on today. I huffed out loud and rolled my eyes. I don’t know what it is. Literature can be tricky but film? Painting can be difficult; there can be a lot going on in music. But film? Film is not that difficult. You use two senses in addition to your brain. Vertigo was based on a forgotten, second rate novel. It’s a second rate film, not second best of all time.
