Yeah, Tribe, go to your room.

In the Trump case, Laurence Tribe faults the Supreme Court for averting the ‘chaos’ of which he had warned.

...
... Tribe warned that the justices were courting disaster. He said on CNN that they were likely to reverse the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision booting Donald Trump from the primary ballot.

“But they’re simply kicking the can down the road,” Mr. Tribe said. “When people argue that he is disqualified by the Constitution, either at the stage of the general election or when Congress meets in January of 2025 to count the electoral votes, this problem will rise again, and the court will not have avoided chaos, it will simply have postponed it.”

Colorado’s brief had likewise warned against “a system where voters must wait until after a presidential election is over before learning whether the winning candidate is qualified to hold office. That is a recipe for ensuring the events of Jan. 6, 2021, become a regular part of American politics.”

It was a reasonable fear.

No, it was not a reasonable fear, not in any reasonable universe was it a reasonable fear. All the Supreme Court did today is rule that no fucking one piddly ass state can determine who is qualified for federal office, including the not inconsequential office of president of the United States, the only office that is filled by vote of all fifty states. That is not unreasonable. Federal office, federal disqualification. State office, state disqualification. Go disqualify your Chief Reefer Officer, Colorado.

The Colorado language quoted above in Wally's article is a red herring for the reasons stated in the previous post. He's qualified to be on the ballot and is qualified to win the presidency unless the federal Congress passes a law, and it may be too late already, disqualifying him. Wally, Coli, Poli, Tribe, read:

Article 1 Legislative Branch

Section 9 Powers Denied Congress

 ...
Clause 3 Nullification

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

End of story. Get the fuck out of public space.
