If we could trade Jimmy in essentially a salary dump...Now, hear me out. I am not pissed, I am not emotional, I am not blaming Jimmy. I LOVE Jimmy...like we and the Bobcats did with Kyle Lowry for Terry Rozier, with Chazz having no intent of playing Kyle and sending him to the 7'6"ers. I like the "Heat's" roster without Jimmy.

Before I get to that, look: The "Heat" are, what, 39-38 over two seasons with the "Big Three" starting? That's a real, not a lying, stat. That's a big sample size. It's not working is my point. This "core" is not working. We have a better record over the same two seasons when we don't play them all together. This is real, too: As central as Jimmy has been to the success of these five years he has played an average (assuming he plays in the last two games) of 58 games per season with us. And this is real: He’s 34 years old, will turn 35 Nov. 14, just a few games into the 2024/25 season. And finally the cold, hard numbers: Jimmy’s due 48.8M next season, the last season the team has any leverage to trade him, for the next season, ‘25/‘26 is a player option for $52.4M. This summer is 601 Biscayne’s last window with leverage to trade him. Who would trade for him? Yeah, like I have a fucking clue. I don’t pretend to be in the know in the dismal science of capology. But he would have some market with some team. He’s just too good..

Now, as to what we would have left without Jimmy. Jovic, Jaquez, Jr., Bam, Duncan, Tyler, Terry. That's six guys. How bad is that? NOT! Even if we just netted a draft pick, or dead weight like Chazz got with Kyle, in a Jimmy trade we would get somebody. With love forever, I say trade Jimmy.
