Harris campaign bracing for weekslong election litigation
From CNN’s Kayla TauscheHarris campaign officials have suggested that it could take days to declare a winner in the presidential race, but they’re bracing for legal fallout to extend for weeks, regardless of the outcome.
“There’s going to be a month of litigation hell,” one Harris campaign adviser told CNN.

Initial CNN Exit Poll: Georgia independent voters favor Trump over Harris
Vice President Kamala Harris is largely holding on to President Joe Biden’s 2020 coalition among young voters and Black voters in Georgia, according to the initial results of CNN’s exit poll among voters in the state. But Peach State voters who call themselves political independents now favor former President Donald Trump over Harris — a shift from 2020 when Biden won that group.
Roughly 86% of Black Georgia voters say they cast their ballot for Harris, as do about 6 in 10 voters younger than 30 — in both cases, generally similar to Biden’s numbers in 2020.
As was the case in 2020, suburban voters are closely split. But where Biden won slightly over half of political independents in 2020, now a slim majority say they’re backing Trump.
Guess which county?
The issues with scanning ballots in Cambria County threatened to disenfranchise voters in the critical swing state, a local election official said Tuesday.
They have to use scanners 'cause they don't have enough fingers.

Pro-Trump activist Charlie Kirk says voter turnout is 'not where we want it to be'
Charlie Kirk, a staunch Trump supporter and founder of pro-Trump activist group Turning Point Action, wrote in a post on social media site X that voter turnout has been disappointing, in an apparent effort to rally followers to vote.
"Turnout is mixed and not where we want it to be," Kirk wrote. "We need more people to vote. We can't let turnout flatline. Text everyone you know. Make more noise. We need more."

LITITZ, Pa. (AP) — Donald Trump gave a profane and conspiracy-laden speech two days before the presidential election, talking about reporters being shot and suggesting he “shouldn’t have left” the White House after his 2020 loss to Democrat Joe Biden.
In remarks Sunday that bore no resemblance to his standard speech in the campaign’s closing stretch, the former president repeatedly cast doubt on the integrity of the vote and resurrected old grievances about being prosecuted after trying to overturn his defeat four years ago. Trump intensified his verbal attacks against a “grossly incompetent” national leadership and the American media, steering his rally in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at one point on to the topic of violence against members of the press.
...
...argue that he can only lose to Democrat Kamala Harris if he is cheated, even though polls suggest a tight race.
Some of his allies, notably former chief strategist Steve Bannon, have encouraged him to prematurely declare victory on Tuesday even if the race is too early to call. That’s what Trump did four years ago, kicking off a process of fighting the election results that culminated in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
...
“It’s a crooked country,” Trump said. “And we’re going to make it straight. We’re going to make it straight.”
...
[In] his next speech a few hours later at an airport in Kinston, North Carolina, drifted between prepared remarks and familiar stories. Trump praised David McCormick, the businessman running for Senate in Pennsylvania, appearing to briefly lose track of his location but quickly recovering.
“Where’s David? Is he around some place?” Trump said. “You know we just left him. He’s a great guy.”
