Public Occurrences July 17, 2015

WSJ says Trump wrote racy birthday letter to Epstein. The president says it never happened.

The Department of Justice reviewed a suggestive 2003 letter from President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein as part of its investigation into the convicted sex offender, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The president insisted the story was false, and vowed to sue the newspaper.

Okay now wait: What is "the story" that is "false": that DOJ reviewed the "suggestive letter"? Or the "suggestive letter"?

The letter, which the president says is “fake,” was part of a book of messages organized by Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein’s 50th birthday, the Journal reported...

So the letter is "fake" but that doesn't mean DOJ doesn't have it and didn't "review" it.
...

According to The Wall Street Journal, the letter signed by Trump wishes Epstein a happy birthday and tells him, “may every day be another wonderful secret.” The letter featured lines of typewritten text framed by a drawing of a naked woman, with Trump’s name signed below the woman’s waist.

The president denied to the Journal that he wrote the letter or drew the picture and threatened to sue the newspaper if it published an article about it.

Pubic Occurrences

According to documents reviewed by the Journal, Trump’s letter featured several lines of typewritten text framed by what appeared to be a hand-drawn outline of a naked woman. The outline, according to the Journal, included details meant to depict the woman’s breast. Trump’s signature was drawn across the woman’s waist, meant to mimic the appearance of pubic hair.

In a letter to the White House today, Sean Barbadella, D.O.,  physician to the president,  diagnosed Trump with chronic venous insufficiency. Trump went to Barbadella when he noticed mild swelling around his ankles. From everything that I have read (i.e. NOT from my medical "knowledge" lol) CVI is common in people Trump's age, is easily treated, and is not a condition that raises other health concerns.
