Ew Esse Em Elle Ee

For the paucity of public occurrences on Public Occurrences this week there is no other explanation than the following, sent to my family this afternoon:

We ended the most successful week we have ever had shortly after 2 pm. Ana is thinking like a doctor now and is believing in herself.

This was also our hardest working, week. We worked every day, Ana's focus and energy were better than ever. We worked every day, a low of three hours Monday and a high of 5' 45" Wednesday, today 4 1/2 hours. Both of us are exhausted.

Ana answered the questions without any research beforehand. ChatGPT, the gold standard of USMLE research, inhibits thinking on your own. I'm sorry Chat GPT, but it's just true. Chat GPT gives you the right answer, and a great explanation, but even if you study the answer it's not as good as thinking through the question on your own and answering on your own. LIKE A DOCTOR.

Medicine is very logical and scientific which is why AI ChatGPT is so accurate, but the medical/scientific mind is also logical. Thinking through the patient's presentation and the differential diagnoses--all plausible on USMLE--or inductively reasoning from lab findings (depending on the fact pattern) is what a good doctor does in practice. And that is what Dr. Ana did this week. Her clinical experience informed her doctor's mind and she was able to make the correct call, and quickly, or rule out some prospective answers and make good, educated guesses on others, even if wrong. Getting the results that she did this week has increased her confidence and knowledge more than any week or month has previously.

In short it was the most successful week all around that we have ever had.
