*I have altered this post with lede since original posting 9/14/25, 12:47 pm. In place of terming Dr. Michelle Bravo's firing "justified" I write that the firing was in the judgment of the institution to make and they made it. I did not characterize it further.
"What was done to Charlie Kirk has been done to countless Palestinian babies, children, girls, boys, women and men not just over the past two years of the ongoing genocide, but decades. And whenever it happened, and it’s on camera and we all saw it, Charlie Kirk came out to say: ‘I love this, I want more of this. The people who did this are great and I love them and they should keep doing it forever.’ As Malcom said, the chickens have come home to roost.”

One user cited that the post is especially concerning given the large Jewish population in Miami. User @beatrizshafran also noted that the Miller School of Medicine was named after a Jewish family.
Then I'm an antisemite. Wow, I didn't realize. I thank @stop_antisemitism for showing me the light. In the interest of transparency, should I just go ahead and order an ANTISEMITE bumpersticker to match my ANTIFA?
@stop_antisemitism is creating a radicalizing, socio-politico analog to Newton's "equal and opposite" Third Law of Motion. Chickens do roost, but intelligent humans don't. Two wrongs do not make a right, in the patois. This Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip are war crimes and genocide. It is the defining issue of our time. This America's support for This Israel's actions there is the defining issue of Americans' time. To support it in the words that Dr. Bravo attributes to him, makes Kirk pro-Netanyahu, pro-genocide and pro-war crimes, aside from being on the record as an antisemite. Unless one shares those incommensurate views I do not see how Kirk's murder can be mourned. That is not the equivalent of minimizing murder as "he had it coming to him". No, Kirk didn't have it coming to him and his views cannot be used by Tyler Robinson in his trial for Kirk's murder. That is not only the law, but it is moral law.
Intentionally or not, in writing "chickens have come home to roost", Dr. Bravo, and her source, the unidentified "Malcom" (A colleague? Malcolm X?) used coded, not legally recognized, and amoral language. Eighteen years ago, another academic, Ward Churchill, was fired by his university for authoring a 2001, i.e. post-9/11, essay "On the Justice of Roosting Chickens", in which Churchill, a faux Native American wannabe, characterized the victims of 9/11 as "little Eichmanns". As I remember, somehow in Churchill's mind, white Americans' 19th century wars against Native Americans being genocide (a much-disputed assertion), those actions were linked inextricably in a straight, unbroken line leading directly to Islam's attacks on the World Trade Center in the 21st century. (?) Whether the University of Colorado accepted Churchill's starting position, it found many broken links in the chain from then to 9/11 and fired him after hearing. Dr. Bravo's chain is much less attenuated but no matter, the amorality of two wrongs don't make a right stands unbroken. It was the University of Miami School of Medicine's judgment to make on Dr. Bravo and they made it.
As to @stop_antisemitism, the logic employed is pathognomonic for a bone in the brain, of right-wing Wokeism, of a censoring Witch Hunt, of pro-Netanyahu-ism, pro-fascism, pro-genocide, pro-war crime, of a paranoid, nihilistic masochistic Jewish state of mind. I am not going to put an ANTISEMITE bumpersticker on my car; I'm not going to turn on American Jews (those at @stop_antisemitism however are on my shit list). I am anti-THIS Israel, anti-THIS America, and was anti-Kirk. However, in consideration of all of the foregoing, I will not defend against the logical conclusion of @stop_antisemitism that I am an antisemite. It is good to have enemies.
