Carnival is my obsession

They played extremely well least night. Norman Powell in his first game in pink and electric blue led all scorers with 28 points. He had 9 boards, 4 asts, 1 block and 1 steal, 3 t.o.'s and 4 fouls and a team high +12. Davion Mitchell, my favorite player and the favorite of many .44-ites, had 16 points, 12 asts, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 t.o., 4 fouls and was +2. Bam had 15, 12, 2, three t.o.'s and 4 fouls, but he was -2. Niko: 9, 3, 0, 1, 3 t.o.'s, 2 fouls, +8. There was a load: Wigo: 18 pts, 3, 0, 1, 0, 1  t.o., 4 fouls, a putrid -21. Nobody on the bench was above water in +/- but 3J, who played starter's mins, 30, 13 points, 6, 1, 2, 0, 2 t.o.'s, 3 fouls, -1. Everybody who played had a t.o. except Pelle who only played 4' and picked up 2 fouls in those 4 mins. Statistically, Davion played the role of point guard, and his ast/t.o. rather was a stratospheric 12-1. Is he our point guard going forward?

What does Spoelstra do with Tyler when he comes back. Tyler will give you 20+ ppg and also is a turnover machine. If he had started for Davion last night he would have gotten 20+ points but maybe had 4-5 more turnovers.

There are ominous and uncanny parallels to the infamous 2007/08 team. That team won "only eight games in the first two months of the season and finished 15–67, the worst record in the league.; "the Heat never recovered." This year's team has a brutal couple of months ahead. Will they recover? 2007's Terry Rozier was Smush Parker. "His production dropped off dramatically while with the Heat, with averages of 4.8 points, 1.7 assists and 2.1 rebounds, compared to his 11.1 in 164 games with the Los Angeles Lakers," just like Terry last season. And then there is this comparison: "After a physical altercation that Parker had with a parking attendant in November 2007, the Miami Heat put him on paid leave to investigate the matter. On March 10, 2008, the Miami Heat officially waived Parker." Rozier was arrested by the feds for gambling early today and has been suspended by the Association. It was Parker's last game with Miami; Scary Terry has played his last game for this year's "Heat".
