FT La-La Lake-Lake 130 "Heat" 120.
3J is having himself quite the breakout year. Coming off the bench as he had this whole new season, he played starters minutes. 35, third on team, and had 31 points.
The "Heat" never led last night. It's true that we didn't play much defense, but we shot even better than LAL. We outrebounded them. Turnovers don't account for the margin of defeat. We went to the free throw line more frequently and bricked more freebies but if we had shot those at LAL's rate that doesn't account for the 10 points in the loss. Somehow LAL got 11 more shots off from the field than we did. That's how we lost! Weird.
I have to correct myself on something. I took great umbrage that New Miami was playing the way the Memphibians did in the first half of last season before they gave up the "Wheel" experiment and fired everybody. Spo added one of those deposed to his staff as a "consultant" for this season. Any resemblance between New Miami and Memphis is not strictly coincidental.
