Spo benched Kel'el the whole 2H last night because...*

*This reminds me soo much of the standoff between 601 Biscayne an Hassan Whiteside ten years ago. In 2015/16  "Young Whiteside" as supportive "Heat" social media called him, led the Association--the entire NBA--in blocks, 3.7 per game; The next season he led the Association--the entire NBA--in rebounds, 14.1. What's not to support? But his frustration over inconsistent playing time boiled over in public criticism of Erik Spoelstra, and from then his days in Miami were numbered. His number was called on July 6, 2019 when he was traded to Portlandia, where he again led the Association--the entire NBA--in blocks.

“I get it with some young players,” Spoelstra added. “Sometimes you subconsciously play poorly to say, ‘Hey, I’ll play poorly until you play me the minutes I think I deserve. Then I’ll play well.’ That’s not how it works.”
