Hope + Nudge --> Plea + Bluster --> Demand + Threat...

NATO has "very bad future" if they don't join the Clown Coalition.

"I'm demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory, because it is their own territory. ... they should help us. You could make the case that maybe we shouldn't be there at all, because we don't need it. We have a lot of oil."

Predicted here first:

Trump is also weighing a seizure of Iran's critical oil depot on Kharg Island — a move that would require U.S. boots on the ground — if tankers remain bottled up in the Persian Gulf, U.S. officials say.

What that will do is give Ayatollah Trump control of 20% of the world's oil where Ayatollah Khamenei had control of 20% of the world's oil previously. Ayatollah Trump will then punish allies he's mad at for not joining his misadventure (Europe, NATO), and enemies like China by turning on and shutting off the spigot whenever he gets the whim.

US allies hesitate as Trump calls for warships in the Strait of Hormuz

Trump said he spoke to Macron about the strait

Trump said, unprompted, that he’d rate the reception he got from French President Emmanuel Macron as an 8 on a scale out of 10.

“I think he’s going to help,” Trump said.

Macron: "Monsieur le Président, s'il vous plaît, l'Amérique d'abord."

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said, responding to Trump’s calls to send warships to police the Strait of Hormuz, Merz said “NATO is a defensive alliance, not an interventionist one.”
