Continuing our WorldWide coverage of sports Bayern Munich played an early European Champions League match this afternoon (Normal People Time) against Manchester City. Manuel Pellegrini replaced Roberto Mancini in large part because of the latter's repeated failings in the CL competition. A couple of years ago--during its Premier League championship season, no less--City went to the Allianz Arena, Carlos Tevez refused to come off the bench and Bayern smoked God's Team of Angels in Blue 4-1. It was the beginning of the end of Tevez at City (But not of City that year (See historical research above.)). So today was a rematch to that humiliation. At God's own Stadium, the Etihad. Didn't matter. Bayern 3, City 1. Bayern's the best team on the planet and Pep Guardiola the best manager. City's Joe Hart is neither the best goalkeeper on the planet nor maybe in England anymore.
