Five seconds into a 2009 game San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich ordered his team to commit a "hack-a-Shaq" foul on Phoenix' Shaquille O'Neal:


After-quarter interview in series some years ago:

Reporter: "Greg Popovich, 4/22 shooting for you guys so far, what's the problem?"

Popovich: "Well, it didn't go in the hole."

Last night's game, per ESPN:

San Antonio Spurs led by 10 points at the end of the first quarter, when coach Gregg Popovich met on the court with TNT’s Craig Sager for his customary end-of-the-quarter interview.
[Craig] Sager asked about ball movement.

“We play better when the ball moves,” Popovich said.

On getting over a blowout loss to Golden State in January:

“It was really tough. I had to go to everybody’s house. I slept overnight at about four or five players' houses just to try to get them straight.”

Popovich: "We're behind and they're ahead."
Reporter: "Why is that?"
Popovich: "They scored more than we did and we were pretty crappy in defense. It's been fun."
Reporter: "Do you want election results?"
Popovich: "Who is it?"
Reporter: "Sanders and Trump."
