Just quit. Just gave up. Quit on his teammates, gave up on the franchise. James has done this before, in Cleveland, in Miami, now with Los Angeles. He has thrown plays, sabotaged teammates, undermined his coaches, destabilized franchises with all. With five on five play and a small playing surface basketball is unique among the major team sports in showcasing individual athleticism and talent. Those same factors make the game uniquely susceptible to corruption by one, a player or a referee. They are the reasons Tom Donaghy was able to move the final scores of games in line with the Las Vegas point spread. They are the reasons LeBron James is able to so affect games, teams, franchises. Power can corrupt and the more absolute the power the more absolute the potential for corruption. The NBA has never taken James to task for his corruption. He threatens the integrity of the league. The league further empowers its most powerful player.
The "Lakers" ought to suspend James for one game.
