To state the obvious if Tennessee wins that game Georgia is done and if Georgia wins close Georgia is severely damaged, but we try not to overstate the obvious here and so we will state this: halftime scores matter. If you win 42-14 but trailed 14-13 at the half that is not nearly as impressive as leading 28-0 at the half and finishing 42-14. If they trail at halftime there are some voters who are only going to see the halftime score tonight. You don’t want to send them to bed trailing 14-13 when you were a 24.5 point pick.
