The College Football Playoff rankings came out, I don't know what happened to me today, I think yesterday. The top four are Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, and Georgia. Those would be in if it was the end of the season which it ain't but the big controversy is Utah jumping Oklahoma into fifth. A prominent ESPN talking head (and SEC-phile) says "the country doesn't want to see Utah." He may be correct, I don't really know and he is farrrrrr more plugged in than I am but I would like to see Utah in. I am tired of the same ol' same ol' and OU is one of the same ol'. Both Utah and OU have one loss, OU's by a TD at K-State, now 8-4, Utah's at Southern Cal by the identical seven, USC is also 8-4. What is to choose? Why would anyone have a gripe with either? I would like to see Utah for the novelty. You want consistency, okay!
My big gripe, of course not touched on by the SEC-phile, and this really does stick in my craw is Georgia continuing to be in at #4. Unlike Utah and OU, UGA's one loss was at home (!) by three to 4-8 South Carolina! Oh, that just pisses me off. There is something to choose between UGA, Utah and OU and UGA should be out, out OUT!
