Welcome to Miami Bienvenidos a Miami

"Heat" just about ready to tip off against Indiana at AAA. Unbeknownst to this here undersigned the "Heat" made a trade Wednesday. Trevor Ariza comes (from OKC, sort of), Meyers Leonard (surprise) and a 2027 second-round pick go to  "THIS BLOCK FOR SALE" (I was in OKC once, that was the sign downtown.)

Trevor, who was born in Miami sounds like he was born to be a “Heat,” viz:

-"another switchable and experienced defender — with his 7-2 wingspan — " (Miami Herald)

-another 6'8" guy.

-another long-in-the-tooth (35) vet.

-another guy with an extremely hot-running motor. Occasionally too hot-running.

-another temperamental "no autopsy- no foul” misfit. The quintessential misfit. He's been traded eleven tikes, the most in NBA history!

-"Ariza was ejected during a game against Portland on March 9, 2009, following a flagrant foul on Rudy Fernández."

- "On December 13, 2009, Ariza was ejected after he attempted to punch DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors after having the ball stolen by him. He was subsequently suspended for one game."(Wikipedia)

-"Ariza has not played in an NBA game since March 10, 2020, as he opted out of playing in the NBA’s Walt Disney World bubble last season as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers and has been away from the Thunder this season. But he made it clear that he’s “100 percent ready to play if coach wants me to play.” (Herald)

“I just feel like it matches my style of person. Period. I work hard, extremely hard worker. What you see is what you get. I’m not going to beat around the bush about anything. I think that’s pretty much what the Heat have shown. This is a place that I definitely wanted to be,” Ariza said of the Heat. “Whatever the coach needs me to do, I’m more than willing to do. I’m willing to run through a wall for my teammates, for organizations that I play for. So whatever is asked of me, I try to do
.” (Herald)
