Israel is now 73 years old. Harry Truman mid-wifed her. We give $3.8B in MILITARY AID to Israel every year. As Nicholas Kristof wrote the other day, American taxpayers have the right, and the obligation, to ask ourselves if that annual $3.8B in military hardware is buying us peace or more bloodshed.

I go beyond that, however. I ask this question all the time. When does a child become old enough to defend him or her self? It’s damn well before 73 years of age. I detest Benjamin Netanyahu. Israel has become a different country than the one I would have defended personally in war until Likud came to power. I have grown fed up with Israel since, to the point of, “Hey Boomer, put on your big boy pants and defend yourself. I’m outta here.”
