Man, that was the greatest find I ever made lolol. I had watched the entire Summit Series several years ago and didn't catch it. The series has always been very interesting history, but I had not watched a minute of it since. And then...for no reason--isn't that the way these things happen?--about an hour before I posted, I decided to watch it again. But which game? Game 1 in the hot Montreal Forum was Canada's absolute nadir, a 7-3 blowout loss. For some reason I chose Game 4 in Vancouver. I clicked on a two-hour plus Youtube replay of the whole game. If it had been a full replay I would have missed announcer Foster Hewitt's comment on the Soviets' "tic-tac-toe passing play." Instead, I got highlights, the goals, the Parise murder threat. And there, right there, right before the fourth Soviet goal was the tiki-taka formation and Hewitt's call. What a find. Okay, enough fun and games, now to disease and death.
