-Rep. Rashida Tlaib, (D-MI) to President Biden today.
Palestinian human rights are not a bargaining chip and must be protected, not negotiated.: In my view the U.S. does not have a duty to protect. But “human rights.” The higher power there would be the UN. And the U.S. protected Israel from having the UN Security Council issue a resolution. Duty or not, we did it.
This is what happens when you have a vassal state.
(1)The U.S. cannot continue to give the right-wing Netanyahu government billions each year to commit crimes against Palestinians. (2) Atrocities like bombing schools cannot be tolerated, much less conducted with U.S.-supplied weapons.
I agree with number one if you take out “crimes.” I don’t know for certain that Israel has committed “crimes” in the last nine days of military action. I am convinced that it has been disproportionate. Number two, take out “atrocities,” take out “tolerated,” have it read “Bombings conducted with U.S.-supplied weapons will stop only when the supply of U.S. weapons stops” and I agree.
