COVID-19 BIDEN+197 (Aug. 6, 2021)

A publication named Public Occurrences must publish on same. The subject of this post is the most important in America. Thus. I will, this, I almost certainly will in the future, but I may ignore the subject sometimes, for I do not trust those who one must trust as primary sources for writing, namely the Centers for Disease Control and the New York Times. This then is more a post on the politics of the current state of the COVID-19 epidemic than on the numbers. 

Using the Trump Vaccines, President Biden crushed Trump Plague as he handily beat Trump in the election. So the virus custom-made a mutation just for him. Delta had the potential to effectively end Biden's presidency barely after beginning, for the Bidens completely bungled Delta's dawn. They had the example of India right before their eyes; CDC stopped collecting data on Delta infections just as the variant became dominant. Alarming evidence first trickled then gushed in: Delta was somehow flummoxing the vaccines--the breakthroughs in Provincetown, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Mesa County--but the Bidens stuck to their playbook, VACCINES! VACCINES! VACCINES! In May CDC said the vaxed could go unmasked; on July 27 they said everyone should mask up school pupils, teachers and schools alike.This was the Biden Plague as manna from heaven but the GOP mutated too, from pro-Trump to anti-Trump Vaccines. The slave states went poorly-vaccinated, their residents anti-vax or vax resistant. Governors of states like the Asshole and the Purple Star signed anti-mandate laws on vaccines and masks. The governor of Arkansas said his own anti-mandate had been a mistake. The governor of Alabama railed against her unvaxed constituents. DeSantis Man's popularity has plunged. Republicans were pro-Coup and pro-COVID. It is they who are paying the political cost. Biden got the bipartisan cooperation he yearned for. It's now the Grand Old Plague.
