Around the Association

The "Nuggets" used a huge third quarter to send the reeling "Nets" to their eighth straight loss in Denver. The "Nuggets" had seven players in double figures, led by hit man Nikola Jokic. Anti-Vax Irving had 27 for Brooklyn, 124-104 losers.

Philadelphia beat the "Male Cows" in Chicago, clinching "Heat" coach Erik Spoelstra's spot as coach of Team Durant in the All-Star Game. The spot goes to the coach of the team leading the Eastern Conference two weeks before the game on Feb. 20 in Cleveland.

The two rumored traders making the Donut market squared off today in Cow Town. The "Pecans" got the best of the "Rockettes" 120-107.  Trades are complicated in the NBA. First you have to find a fool partner. Then you have to match salaries of the stiffs players involved. The minimum salary currently is between 925k and 2.6M per year. I would take six to seventeen mins in a heartbeat to be rid of Donut but alas you can’t go over roster size limits either, 15 this season. Somehow Pat Riley and Andy Elisburg always find a fool for their distressed sales and make the transactions “legal” under the other restrictions. Whoever wins the Donut gets him for one year at $18M. The loser gets him for two years at $18M/year.
