If you had said that a match in this storied rivalry--the fiercest in English football--would be played with Liverpool at 15th in the table and 19th Manchester United, even after only two matches played...well, people would have been surprised but that's where the clubs are.
It's only two matches, out of thirty-eight, Liverpool is not going to finish 15th, they will probably finish second or win the league, but boy, tying Fulham and Crystal Palace?, you wouldn't get even second place from that start.
Man-U...No, they probably (same degree of certainty as with 'Pool) will not be relegated, but you would get that from 1-2 to Brighton and 4-0 at Brentford (BRENTFORD!). "Manchester United probably will not be relegated": That we even have to say that, couched with an adverb, is...I don't know what it is. I will say this: If Manchester United do not do a 180 degree turn in their play, and do it soon, they will be relegated.
Liverpool at United at 3 pm.
