Hands down, that is the weirdest sky I have ever seen. And it was in all directions. My son shot his looking due east. This is mine from four stories up looking west at 7:27:

 And at 6:52, just 34 mins before, this was the sky to the northwest:

How the eff do we get from that to Marmalade Skies in roughly half an hour?
