Not sure what to think about Wisconsin firing Paul Chryst. Who are they going to find better? They very well might but risky and expensive move.

Me neither. Tell you one thing I think though: Yukovcan is right on and the AD, Chris McIntosh, better take a page from Jeremy Foley's playbook: McIntosh better have had a list of 3-4 replacements in his pocket since he has been AD (Since McIntosh has been AD only since 2021 I doubt he does.). Otherwise this looks impetuous, yes, risky and expensive too, and he doesn't want to be flying all over the country for 41 days trying to find someone who will coach this team (as Steve Pederson did after he improvidently canned Solich) now that he has fired a legacy coach. It spooks prospective coaches. Would you want to go to work for such a guy? It spooked coaching candidates at Nebraska fifteen years later. Scott Frost brought it up to the AD. And Yukovcan is correct that Chryst's replacement better be better. If he pulls a Bill Callahan or Michael Haywood or Todd Graham out of his pocket McIntosh is going to get the same pink slip he gave to Chryst today.
