The summit with the leaders of the 28 (not 16) independent entities which once comprised the whole of Ukraine did not go well but it was funny to watch:

Fast forward (and then a giant leap into the future): Olya comes up with a practical suggestion to turn the human waste of the breakaway entities (the only "product" any of them are willing to "export" to Vasya's Ukraine) into fertilizer, even clothing. The plan is workable and Vasya adopts it.
Then Mikhail (state security) and Mikhaylo (finance minister) present Vasya with an ingenious plan--which the undersigned has also seen work!--to recover Ukraine's wealth from the kleptocrats: Return the money or go to jail. $5M or 5 yrs; 10M or 10 yrs, etc. That works.
Vasya simplifies the tax code, dropping taxation of ordinary Ukrainians for taxation of those who take money out of the country legally. The episode speeds up with news flashes of the reborn, united Ukraine with a reformed, corruption-free, vibrant economy that makes the nation energy-independent and the subject of foreign investment.
Now the giant leap. S3 E3 opens in the year 2049 and a history teacher in his classroom. The episode is interspersed with flash-forwards to the teacher explaining to the students Ukraine's history from 2019-2023. Then at 42' this appears:
Zelensky got even the month right. Not of a mine accident, far worse.
