The restricted zone is walled off by the Green Monsters as The Composer launches the first shot of the game. That was a miss. Guess which team got the rebound? Now, there is an offensive team 3-second rule, I understand. At this precise second however, white jerseys should be crashing the boards.
Like the Mean Green are doing here on their first shot, also a 3. Hatem is already in the zone, the veep is headed that way.
The "Heat's" second possession and shot. Lovey Dovey Turtle Dovey cans this trey but again, at the moment when Kevin is in his shooting position every Heater is beyond, on or just inside the arc. If Kevin had missed it would have been Green rebound.
The beginning of the "Heat's" next possession looks identical to those of its first two--wide open spaces
The Artist has to reset and gives the ball up to Caleb. Two green shirts are walling off Kevin to prevent him from getting into the paint.
Bam sets an effective pick but The Coach is in position to help out. Hatem and green white stand sentinel at the edge of the paint.
This was a horrible possession for Miami. Caleb doesn't want to shoot, can't shoot with The Coach towering over him, has to do something and throws the ball out of bounds in apparent attempt to pass to Jimmy. Look at the paint, though! Kevin and Bam encounter an impressive No Entry sign.
Boston's next possession: green white in the corner about to receive the ball. The Coach serves as decoy by entering the zone, drawing Caleb off green white. NO white shirt around green white.
White cans the shot but if it had been errant The Coach would have been in good position for a tip.
Finally, Miami's next possession. Look at Boston's D! Three guys aggressively pursuing any white shirt who dares set up behind the arc. Every white shirt has a green shirt labeled onto him. The paint is picketed with two greenies.
Jimmy is obscured by the greenie and three others are assigned to Bam.
Jimmy gets fouled on this play but there are FOUR green shirts closer to the basket than any ONE white shirt.
The "Celtics" were totally dialed in in this game. You can see how focused they were. The "Heat" were not; they were standing around like the "Celtics" were in G3.
