Men’s #1 UConn blew out #5 Marquette today 81-53. The “Huskies” are the defending national champs but not the defending Big East Conference champions. Marquette is. Apparently some bad blood here. The teams meet again on March 6 in Milwaukee. Revenge? Let’s hope not what Marquette head coach Shaka Smart has in mind:

“What we need to do better the next time we play UConn? It's like Santa Claus' list that unfolds. But I think starting with that we have to play with more of a level of violence and toughness about us. They had that edge today."
