Axios: The captivating four-day convention was a ratings monster,...

Beasties, Aug. 22: The Democratic National Convention garnered better ratings than its Republican counterpart for the third night in a row, according to data from industry research firm Nielsen.

About 20.1 million people tuned in to watch the Democrats’ conference on Wednesday, Nielsen confirmed—the third night in a row the broadcast reached more than 20 million viewers.

RNC’s most successful night was Thursday, July 18—when an average of 25.3 million Americans tuned in to the broadcast. The highlight of the night was former President Donald Trump’s highly anticipated acceptance speech—his first major address after the attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania. Viewership peaked while Trump was on stage, attracting a whopping 28.4 million viewers.

Stones according to two sources familiar with the matter, the notoriously ratings-fixated former president has been asking some of his media and political allies what they think the Democratic convention’s TV ratings will be like....and that he feels it is unlikely Vice President Harris will be able to top his numbers on the evening she gives her big speech.
