I'll be damned.

The Lostwave Story

In one internet subculture, people desperately try to find the origins of songs without attribution. Sometimes they strike gold. Sometimes they get lost in the cyber-void

"Lostwave": NEVER heard of the term. That is EXACTLY what I did searching--for decades--for the upbeat ("doo-doo-doo-doo") uptempo version of 500 Miles by Heaven Bound with Tony Scotti, sung by Hedy West (1972). I heard that song ONCE, in my car on a drive between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and never forgot it ("doo-doo-doo-doo"). I thought my obsessive periodic searches the product of a retired man on adderall. No. It was a thing: Lostwave.
