UGA led twenty-three zip at half time. The story of this game, as in so many games under Kirby Smart, is Georgia's defense. Lord knows the O has given the 'Horns opportunities, two interceptions, but Texas has not been able to take advantage. Look at these stats:
First downs: Only 21 total, Texas with 12 of them.
Total yards: Texas only 132 (!) Georgia with little better, 180.
Time of possession: 20:14-18:38 in favor of Texas.
Turnovers: Texas 3, 2 fumbles and an INT, Georgia 2.
Take all of those together and you'd expect a tight, high-scoring affair. But on the scoreboard it is neither tight nor high-scoring.
